Clare Taheri is an author and illustrator, passionate about early psychology and children's experience of big feelings.
Her Story
Clare began her career working in international law, in Australia's foreign service.
She worked as an Australian diplomat, posted to Canada between 2018-2022, where she would frequently return from meetings to find a catalogue of WhatsApp photos of her husband tobogganing with their husky, Thistle.

Despite the opportunity of her professional role, the joy Clare found in her work most frequently stemmed from her fab colleagues, their enthusiasm for ranking the best types of snacks (Mars over Snickers, obviously), and their chic lil outfits (thigh-high boots can clearly be deemed appropriate attire for a public servant).
Clare needed a calling.

Upon returning to Australia, Clare decided to pursue her interest in personality and emotional intelligence, by studying and obtaining a graduate diploma in psychology.

Clare is passionate about the importance of fostering a healthy relationship with feelings from infancy. This interest only increased following the birth of her children.
This, coupled with the near impossibility of raising a child to be emotionally literate without first possessing those skills, motivated Clare to develop resources for her own family to inspire and encourage emotional wellbeing.

Creative Vision
Clare's picture books are as much for children as they are for the parents, motivated to raise children with a strong sense of self, while simultaneously developing their own emotional footprint.
